NOC reiterates neutrality in Tripoli conflict as subsidiary is targeted by shelling

The Western-Libya based National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported on 8 September an episode of shelling on its subsidiary Brega Petroleum Marketing Company (BPMC) warehouse at Tripoli's airport. The BPMC subsequently ordered the evacuation of all its teams. Local media reports that the BPMC warehouses have been repeatedly targeted by shelling since the beginning of fighting in the Tripoli area in April 2019. Following the incident, the NOC reiterated its claims of neutrality, responding to critics by Eastern Libyan factions that the NOC is siding with the Government of National Accord (GNA).Click here to read the article.
