Head of GNA postpones resignation

On 30 October, head of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Sarraj postponed his resignation, which he had announced earlier in September, international and local media outlets report. Initially set to leave his responsibilities at the end of October 2020, Sarraj will remain in office until the ongoing inter-Libyan talks come to an end, to ensure a smooth transition, as called for by international stakeholders, such as the UN Special Mission to Libya. Click here to read the report.
