International support shaped Haftar's firepower

In an article published with Middle East Eye on 14 May Arnaud Delalande analyses General Haftar’s firepower. The article highlights the importance of the international support provided to Haftar, and points out the different international powers who supposedly supplied the Libyan National Army (LNA) with weaponry. The article is highly relevant to understand the constitution of the LNA as well as the scope of its military equipment. Delalande indicates that the LNA is composed of several groups of militias rotating around a regular army nucleus representing a force of about 25,000 men. The regular army itself regroups around 7000 members. There are also foreign units in the LNA, mostly from neighbouring countries such as Sudan and Chad).Click here to read the article
