Global Journalist Mary Fitzgerald, Jason Pack, Nancy Porsia, and Mohamed Madi

On April 7, the NPR program Global Journalist hosted Mary Fitzgerald of the Economist, Nancy Porsia of Sky Italy,  Mohamed Madi of the BBC, and myself. We filmed an online TV show, broadcast live radio show, and created an informative Libya 101 primer on the country's different militia and political factions. The article primer does a good job explaining the tripartite civil war and how the unity government has now mostly eclipsed the Libya Dawn faction in the West. The beginning of the TV show is a little bit painful to watch but once the panel discussion begins at 9:00 minutes in, it is quite good presenting the key dilemmas the country is now facing.  If you have time to only watch a few minutes I would suggest you start at 24:20. Here you will hear my answer as to why Libya news media coverage is biased in the United States because of Republican attacks on Hillary and then at 26:00 you can hear Mary's summation of the key three questions all analysts and interested observers need to track over the next weeks.  Hope you enjoy!
