High rents and fear of bombing

On 16 February, Mathieu Galtier published for French-written newspaper Jeune Afrique a report on the reality of daily life in Tripoli as fighting continues to rage around the capital between forces allied with the Government of National Accord (GNA) and forces allied with the Libyan National Army (LNA) under the influence of Khalifa Haftar. The interviews give a certain sense of how the conflict has impacted civilian lives: higher rents, fear of bombings, garbage piling up and most notably a sense of despair as the conflict drags on.
