Nigerian migrants file lawsuit against Italy over mistreatment in Libya

While the country faces political and security challenges, recent developments indicate that the subject of migration continues to be a central issue in Libya, not to be forgotten. A Voice of America article published on 9 May indicates that a group of 17 Nigerian migrant have filed a lawsuit against Italy in the European Court of Law, holding the European country responsible for the violence they were submitted to after their boat was intercepted by the Libyan Coast Guards and they were sent back to Libya.
