What could be the impact on Libya of the Biden administration?

In an article published on 03 November, Tarek Megerisi pondered  for The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) on the potential impacts of the election of Joe Biden as the next US President on the USA’s policy for Libya (writing prior to the confirmation of election results). For Megerisi, it is unlikely that the US under the Biden administration will undertake an assertive and direct role in Libya, given the history. However, Megerisi suggests the US could revisit its position towards the foreign actors gravitating around Libya, such as Egypt, the UAE, Turkey, under Biden’s leadership.
