NOC hub to open in London to upgrade Libya’s oil industry
In a recent article with The Times published on 27 January, Samer Al-Atrush reports on the decision by Libya’s National Oil Company (NOC) to open a hub in London that will work with British companies on consultancy and asset management contracts. As indicated by Al-Atrush, for the NOC, this new hub is part of its strategy to upgrade Libya’s oil industry. The NOC has chosen to rely of foreign stakeholders for this upgrade, bypassing Libyan government resources, which according to NOC Chairman Sanallah had provided scant resources.
