On 12 June, Bellingcat published an investigation titled ‘Heading Off: New Technique Helps Track Grain Smuggling Expansion to Libya’. Using satellite imagery and analyzing shipping data, report tracks grain shipments from occupied Ukraine arriving in Libya, noting that this is only the second time a Russian ship has been observed delivering what the Ukrainian government describes as “stolen” grain to the country, with the previous shipment arriving to the GNU-controlled port of Misrara last year.
