Turkish newspaper reviews MEI study by Pack and Pusztai on Turkish role in War for Tripoli

On 24 November, the Turkish newspaper The Daily Sabah reviewed the research published by Jason Pack and Wolfgang Pusztai with The Middle East Institute (MEI) in which they analyzed the role of Turkey in the war for Tripoli. The campaign opposed factions aligned with the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) and factions aligned with Eastern-based General Haftar and the so-called Libyan National Army (LNA) for the control of Tripoli between April 2019 and June 2020. The Turkish newspaper highlights the main findings of the study, which are that the victory of the GNA was made possible by Turkey, by using new warfare tactics most likely to be replicated in future conflicts.Click here to read the article.
